First 1/12 Scale Diorama

In process of making a 1/12 scale diorama. It is a ruined section of wall. It will have a door and window setup that I hope to do in leaded window style. If i can pull that off it should really help to sell the illusion. I will be posting a lot of pictures of process. Nothing I am doing here is fabulously weird. I expect the pictures will pretty much speak for themselves. However, if’n you see something mysterious that you cannot fathom and want to know, drop me a line.

This is the first of many posts about this project as it has a bit of a different ending in mind.

Material: 1/8 inch luan, tongue depressors, 1 inch pink foam, lo-temp glue, wood putty

14mm Dwarves progress

Fairly finished with these tiny figures and 90 percent done on the fourth. The scene with the horse is not going to fit on the small surface without crowding, so it is out. I have designed a different scenario for the top. The strange postures are because they will be pulling on ropes while another is leveraging a large stone.

Just about time to get to putting this all together. The quarter is there for scale of sorts.

14 mm Dwarves Progression

Rainy Sunday afternoon. 14mm dwarves in progress. Quarter for visual scale. These are for the dragon hoard I have been working on for some time. They may be just a tad tiny for the future ideas I have. Bees putty, sculpey/cernit mix 50/50, wire, thread.

one way of obtaining diminishing vision.
